My opinion about wmutils
I`m using wmutils a bit less than a week, and i configured all i need. It required a lots of patientce to do it. Was it hard? No. It was very interesting. I think it is interesting like configuring your kernel.
In Linux/Unix systems you are a god. You make a digital world in your computer. You can configure it as you want, from algoritms, script etc. to UI. Wmutils is the must-have experience for EVERY Unix/Linux user, like gentoo and arch/artix installation.
I was a wmhopper. I tried wms like 2bwm, bspwm, frankenwm, monsterwm, evilwm, wmx, cwm, mcwm(i dont remember how it spells), rio, 9wm, janeiro, 5element(my own rio fork), dwm, and much more. Wmutils is what I wanted to find. FULL control of your windows. Tiling? just write script. Mouse window movement/resize? write a script. Center(x, y, xy) window, 2borders, your own patterns or anything else? just write a fucking script. That perfect.
Should YOU try it? Of course, yes. That will be the best xorg lesson for you. Here is my current setup, dotfiles here
